Our Featured Pet...
Kittens! We have on average 50 kittens during the summer months. Many good samaritans calls us after finding kittens in their yards. We try and help as many as we can. When there is a feral mom or dad we spay/neuter the cat accordingly and educate the homeowner about feeding and care for the animal.
CLAWS is in desperate need of temporary foster homes for 2 kittens, 1 cat, or dogs. If you can't foster, please spread the word about adopting from CLAWS so that we can take in more animals in need.
Who We Are
CLAWS is an all-volunteer animal rescue group serving Bergen and Hudson County. We foster homeless animals from our individual homes as space allows and also manage cages at the Pet Smart Secaucus and North Bergen. You can see us all over Bergen and Hudson County with our furry friends for adoption.
Adopting a friend
We require you to complete an adoption application. There is an adoption fee. Our kittens receive their first shots and de-worming and our contract includes eligibility for low cost spay/neuter. If age appropriate the cat is tested for FELV/Aids and spay/neutered (above 6 months of age).
The cost of dog adoption fees varies.
