Pet of the Month

Our pet of the month introduces herself...
This month many animals would life to be featured as pet of the month. These will be altered animals. These animal can now be adopted on the second Wednesday of every month at reduced rate. Cats will now be $25.00 and Dogs will be $45.00. Remember this is for already altered animals.


The Panhandle Humane Society is now open until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, for those who would like to come during the evening hours.

Who We Are

The Panhandle Humane Society is a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to the placement of lost and stray animals. We are governed by an elected Board of Directors and three city representatives. As a nonprofit organization, our funding arises from donations, grants, memberships, and contracts with area Cities & Villages.

Adopting a friend

All animal adopted from the Panhandle Humane Society must be either spayed or neutered. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Come Visit Us!

The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are also open until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday's. Directions from XX east or west: We are located just east of the Panhandle COOP Plaza on the south side of the road.
