Rockingham County Animal Shelter is partnered with Planned Pethood Spay & Neuter Clinic of Greensboro to bring the County of Rockingham a community spay & neuter program at a lower cost.

PRICES INCLUDE

Dogs - $75.00
Cats - $65.00
Rabies Vaccine - $10.00
Carrier Rental (if needed) - $5.00


It is by appointment only so please come to the shelter to schedule your appointment today! This will help reduce the rate of unwanted litters throughout the county and help reduce the rate of intake seen at public shelters. Also, you MUST bring proof of a current rabies vaccination with you at the date of the surgery or the veterinarian on staff will provide one.

Adopting A Friend

The companion animals at the shelter make wonderful pets. Please call the shelter to find out if there are any current adoption specials!

Sponsorship Opportunities
What a great way to show you care by helping out an animal by being their sponsor. We can't take them all home, but with your sponsorship it will get some animal one step closer to a new life.

RCAS serves Rockingham County, North Carolina.  The facility includes a large kennel area for dogs, modern facilities for cats, an adoption wing, and a bonding area.

Volunteer Opportunities
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the shelter, please come by the shelter anytime during business hours and fill out a volunteer form. You must be 15 years or older to volunteer. You may volunteer for how much or how little as you would like. We offer many different volunteer options:
