Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation

302 Thurston St.
Winston Salem, NC 27103

Our Mission

AARF aids homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem area; providing rescue and adoption services, information, and education while encouraging the human/animal bond.

AARF is governed by a volunteer board of directors. As an organization it is supported by dozens of volunteers who work endlessly to implement the mission of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation.

AARF was organized in 1995 as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to provide safe, loving, andappropriate homes for homeless cats and dogs.

Adoption Policy

Come to our Saturday adoption fairs and meet your new best friend. If you decide that you want to adopt one of the AARF animals, the first step is to fill out an application form.

An adoption application must be completed on our web pages at AARFWS.org and approved, and an adoption contract is signed detailing the quality of care you'll be required to provide for your new pet.
