About Us

Adopting A Friend

APEA provides vet care for all pets before placing them in their adoptive homes. All vaccinations are up to date at the time of the adoption and all pets are spayed or neutered before going home with their new family. The only exception is if the pet is too young at the time of the adoption, at which time, an appointment is made by APEA for the pet when it is old enough. Most of our babies are altered by the time they are four months old. No adoption is final until the pet has been spayed or neutered.

The adoption fee for seniors is negotiable. Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, heartworm testing, age-appropriate DAPPv, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, deworming and monthly heartmorm and flea prevention while in our care.

Who We Are

APEA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to operate. Our mission is to promote the humane treatment of all animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, provide public education regarding animal care and welfare, protect the animals placed in our care, and to seek responsible homes for the animals that can be adopted.

We gladly accept donations in person, via our Amazon Wishlist or via PayPal at info@animalprotectionms.com.
