Punkin and Jack are two neglected ferrets that came to us - and really need your help! Please consider making a donation to Rochester Ferret Rescue to help with the incoming medical bills for these two ferrets!
Mission Statement: Through community education we want to make the domesticated ferret a more understood pet, found in the pet market. It is our goal, through screening & adoptions that we will provide healthy, vaccinated ferrets, that were surrendered into rescue, into permanent, happy homes.
Our primary place in the community is education about the domesticated ferret. There is much to know about these great little pets. Please learn as much as you can before you make the commitment to ferret ownership. We are happy to help you along the way. Contact us if you have any questions.
If you are interested in adopting one of our ferrets please email us at email@example.com or visit us at www.rochesterferretrescue.org to contact the director or a volunteer, and have us send you out an adoption application. Please note - adopting a ferret is not something that will happen overnight, so please don't ask us to process your application within "X" number of hours or days. We ask for vet references and personal references on your application, and WE CHECK THEM, so those things take time. Our application is very clear what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
Our shelter is located in Stewartville. If you have a ferret and you want to see if a ferret you are looking to adopt will get along with your current ferret, we encourage that, however you MUST bring a copy of your ferrets current vaccination schedule of rabies and distemper, to bring it into the shelter. (please note, ferrets must be vaccianted annually - the "shot" your ferret got as a kit from the pet store is no longer effective)
And we are always looking for ferret loving volunteers! Find us on FaceBook if you want to become a volunteer! Or contact us on our website or through email!
