Who We Are

We are a non-profit organization "501(c)(3)" helping find new homes for collies that have lost their families. Members of Michigan Purebred Dog Rescue Alliance. Recognized by Collie Club of America Collie Rescue & Welfare.

Pets of the Month

Our Pet of the Month is Scooby. He is a collie/ german shepherd mix born this last February. He is full of love and energy. Sized like a collie, marked like a shepherd. He is just waiting for a forever home where he can grow into his full potential. See his story.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Vicki & Pat McBride of Roscommon. They recently gave us their TIMESHARE in LAS VAGAS Nevada. It is up for sale (listed under $4,000) and all sale money will go to the rescue fund. If anyone is interested in the details, it's a studio timeshare, sleeps about 6-8 and is located in Flamingo Estates, which is right behind one of the bigger casinos in Las Vagas. It's one float week. If you know of anyone thinking of buying a Timeshare, it is tradeable for others around the world. It is also available for trade for something of equal value that the rescue can use. THANK YOU Vicki & Pat for this wonderful gift to help out the collies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are looking into merging our resources with Great Lakes Mastiff Rescue. If you see a Mastiff or other large breed dogs on our site don't be alarmed, we are trying to help out another local rescue.

Thank You To Mr. & Mrs. Lenard Weismiller who recently donated $30.00 to the rescue in the memory of "Iyeo" owned by their daughter Shelley and son-in-law Mark. Mark and Shelley adopted Libby from us years ago to be a companion to their aging collie Iyeo. Dear old Iyeo passed away this July from heart complecations. Our thoughts are with Shelly and Mark and Libby during this time of mourning and thank you to their folks for the memorial.

GRANTS! Thank you to the PETsMART Charities Inc. of Arizona for granting us a $4,460 grant to pay for the next 40 spays and neuters.

Adopting a friend

VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! All of our dogs are vet-checked, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, microchipped and temperment tested before being eligible for adoption. Gathering as much information as possible about each individual dog allows us to help each adopter make the best match. Minimum adoption donations are $115 for males and $165 for females. This covers the cost of steriliation.(almost ) and microchipping. All donations are tax-deductable.

We absolutely require fenced yards prior to adoption, electronic fencing is ok for most dogs. There are a few exceptions (see individual dog bio's). This is for the saftey and well being of the dogs. There must be a secure area for the dog to exercise in.
