Who We Are

HSCC strives to provide low-cost spay and neuter programs, provide humane care for stray and abandoned animals, and seek appropriate homes for foster pets,.

HSCC is a no-kill shelter. We do not euthanize pets under our care unless they are terminally ill and suffering beyond medical help. As such, if you notice a dog or cat has been removed from our listings, you can feel assured that they did not meet with an untimely death. The flip side of this is that placements are crucial to our success. When our kennel is full of dogs, we must turn away others until spaces are made available by adoptions. Some of the dogs listed on our pages have been with us a long time and have characteristics which make them more difficult to place. Please consider helping one of these needy dogs so that we may continue to help others.

Adopting a Friend

HSCC has many wonderful dogs and cats available for adoption. In order to adopt, you must fill out an application and be approved in person. Please contact us if you find a dog that you would like to know more about. All HSCC animals are neutered. Complete adoption policy information is available at our website:
