Adoptable pets!

Adoption fees are $165 for dogs, $125 for cats, and $150 for kittens. These fees are subject to change.
All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, blood tested, and microchipped.
Any dog being adopted over the age of 6 months must also obtain a dog license.

Dog Licenses
Dog Licenses are available at the Westfield Animal Shelter (178 Apremont Way, Westfield). Massachusetts General Law (MGL) requires that all dogs over 6 months of age be licensed yearly. Dog licenses are also a great means of identification and can be traced 24 hours a day 7 days a week by either Animal Control or the Police Department.
License costs are $15 for dogs that have been spayed or neutered, or $30 if they are not.
The shelter only accepts checks and/or cash. There is no change available at the shelter.
Please bring proof of a current rabies vaccine and proof of neutering or spaying with you when licensing your dog.

Per MGL Chapter 140 and the City of Westfield's ordinances, if your dog has been picked up by Animal Control, you must show proof of a current rabies vaccine and a current city dog license to claim your dog from the shelter.
