Adopting a Friend
Inquiries about our cats can be made via firstname.lastname@example.org. We have all ages and temperaments and would love to hear from you to find the perfect cat for your family. We have kittens, young and middle aged adults, and elderly cats. Not all of our cats are listed here. Our cats have been altered, FeLV/FIV tested, treated for internal and external parasites, vaccinated for Distemper and Rabies according to MA state law and micro-chipped. Additionally we have "special needs" cats. Our kitties can be seen at any of our "Meet and Greet" Events or by appointment. If interested in adopting please fill out our "Adoption Questionnaire" either online (found at www.forgottenangelsshelter.org) or in person at one of our "Meet and Greet" Events (see our schedule below). An adoption donation is required. Tentative about adopting? Consider our "Foster to Adopt" Program where you can foster a cat before making a decision about adoption. This is a great way to save a life without making a permanent commitment.

We are an adoption agency for the cats we rescue. Prior to adoption, every cat is spayed/neutered, tested, and vaccinated. Any cat with injuries or medical problems is treated. We do our best to match the needs and personality of the cat with those of the adopter. We want our cats and adopters to thrive together for the rest of their lives.
We share the goal of reducing the number of stray cats with many other groups and agencies. To help achieve this goal, we are strong advocates of feline sterilization. A female cat can have up to four litters a year, with each litter averaging 4-6 kittens. So just ONE female cat can produce over TWENTY additional cats in a single year. There are not enough homes or shelters to accommodate all these cats, resulting in the euthanasia of hundreds of thousands of wonderful cats and kittens every year.
Like most animal welfare non-profit groups, our volunteers receive no monetary compensation for their efforts. Many personally help to support the cats in their care. We are completely dependent on donations from the community to provide for our cats and to continue the rescue work that gets them off the street and into a home where they are loved. They all deserve this… that stray cat out there could be your long lost cat… help us help them!
