We have chosen Kuranda beds for our shelter because they are so good for our dogs and cats but we don't have enough. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog or cat can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.
WHO WE ARE
We are a no-kill shelter in Lafayette (Carencro), LA that houses, on average, over 75 dogs and 100 cats. We also provide for more animals living in foster homes. All of our animals are current on vaccination, and all are spayed/neutered. Cats are tested for Feluk and FIV. Dogs are tested for heartworms and if necessary, treated. All dogs and cats are microchipped prior to adoption.
We do not discriminate against any animal due to size, age, color, or breed. Intakes are dependent upon availability of space at the shelter or foster home.
Adoption fees for Cats vary based on the age of the cat. Adoption fees include a full physical exam, FELV and FIV testing, annual vaccinations, spay or neuter, and microchipping.
Cats up to 3 years old: $75
Adult Cats over 3 years: waived adoption fee.
Adoption Fees for Dogs vary for dogs.
ADOPTING A FRIEND
Come visit our shelter and find a friend for life! Most People working at the shelter are volunteers so we cannot be open to the public 7 days a week at this time. Please contact us by phone or email to set up an appointment to meet our animals so we can ensure someone is there to devote time to your visit and make sure we can find a match for your specific family. We are available for appointments during the week between 9am and 3pm and on weekends by request.

Monetary donations are very welcome, very needed, and gratefully accepted. It costs money to feed, shelter, and care for an animal, and AAA does it on a large scale!
And the dogs and cats want us to remind you that TREATS are always a very welcome donation!! You can donate to various programs.
Volunteering is a rewarding activity and is the backbone of our organization. Helping a homeless animal lets you experience how much love these animals have for people, even if they have only experienced abuse.
Volunteering means "To do charitable or helpful work without pay" so while there are fun parts, there are also not so fun parts involved that still need to get done. But the rewards are enormous. You are volunteering for your own benefit as much as for the animals in your care! Call 337-896-1553 for more info.
