If you see a pet listed and there is no photo, please email or call me and I will be glad to email the pictures to you.
Columbia Magazine has asked me to write a column called "Happy Tails". It appears on Sundays and I've been writing stories about dogs that have been adopted from the rescue. Please visit: http://www.columbiamagazine.com to read the stories and see photos.
If you have adopted a dog from us and would like to see your story in Happy Tails please contact me.
Sugarfoot Farm Rescue have all dogs vaccinated, wormed, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. In addition all dogs are inserted with a microchip before they leave. We feed out 100 pounds of dog food a day. Emergencies happen and this causes unplanned expenses. Donations are appreciated. You can make checks out to: Sugarfoot Farm Rescue, Inc. and mail to: 860 Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY 42728 or donated through PayPal with a click of the button.
Our fencing is very old, and the dogs keep getting out into the road, and we all know that is not a good thing. We have an estimate of $6095 to re-fence the area. Donations to reach this goal will be very much appreciated.
Message from the Owner Shelters, Rescues, and Foster Homes have a common goal, to reduce the pet population and improve the care of our animals. I want to share what I have learned. We are all in this together. Plus the most important key to success in any project is VOLUNTEERS! We need volunteers who can walk dogs, brush them, throw a ball, and just spend some time with them. The more socialized the dogs are the better their chances of being adopted.
I would like to meet with concerned citizens and pet lovers of all ages who also want to erase the homelessness and abuse problem of our pets. Please contact me if you're interested. I can be reached at 270-378-4521 or 270-634-4675. I can also be reached by email at: email@example.com
Who We Are Sugarfoot Farm Rescue is a nonprofit, 100% volunteer organization. We are located in Columbia, Kentucky on 120 acres. The yard is fenced in so the dogs here run free and have access into the house via a pet door. They are all socialized to people and other animals. We learn the personalities of each dog before placing for adoption.
We also offer everyone low cost microchip services and spay/neuter vouchers for all their cats and dogs.
We have been accepted into VetDepot's Pet Hero program - which rewards rescues, individuals, and shelters that contribute to the welfare and proper care of animals. VetDepot is an online pet medications retailer that sells only U.S. EPA/FDA approved pet meds at wholesale prices, making responsible pet care more affordable.
Sugarfoot Farm Rescue has received the Dog Rescue Award from .
The letter with the award reads as follows: (The Dog Rescue Award) is presented for excellence in providing underprivileged dogs a much valued resource. We take pride in acknowledging the best organizations around the country with our special award emblem, recognizing them for their outstanding work - Sugarfoot Farm Rescue certainly qualifies as one of them. Thank you for all the work you and your organization provides for dogs in need. We wish you the best in continuing your highly valued service.
Adopting a Friend We do not have a set adoption fee and ask you for a reasonable donation to help us offset our costs. Please consider the fact that our dogs are vaccinated and spayed/neutered before they are adopted, as well as their daily care. This is all done at our expense.
All donations are accepted and appreciated. As a 501 (c)(3) Public Charity, donations are tax deductible (as allowed by law).
Also, we will provide microchip services for any dog adopted from our Rescue! If at any time your dog gets lost , it will have a permanent form of identification to be found.
We would deeply appreciate you volunteering some time to work with the dogs. We love our pets and want to adopt them out to people who will love them as much as we do. If you can't keep the dog, for any reason, you return the dog to us.
