Lou Needs a Foster Home!!!!
Sweet Lou the beagle was saved from a kill shelter back in mid August, 2016, at the last minute. No one had picked him and we just couldn't let the alternative happen. Lou is a sweet, sweet 2-3 year old boy with lots of energy and lots of love to give. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and good with other dogs.
If you would be willing to let Lou hang with you for a while or permanently, email Beagles and More at email@example.com or fill out a foster or adoption app at beaglesandmore.info
We've had many dogs come in with heartworms and the treatment is expensive. We're also short on foster homes and have had to board some dogs.
Please consider donating and fostering.
DONATIONS ARE SO APPRECIATED! Thanks!
You may donate by using PayPal or if you prefer you may donate by mail. (Please note that donations are NOT tax deductible.)

Who we are........
Beagles and More Rescue is an all-volunteer group dedicated to assisting dogs, particularly beagles, in need. While we love all animals, beagles have taken ahold of our hearts and simply won't let go. Working with animal advocates throughout the area, we assist both shelters and private individuals in finding a new, loving home for their pets. Each of us work full-time outside of the home and spend the majority of our free time helping pooches from far and wide! We'll try, with all of our might, to answer your e-mail inquiries in a timely fashion.
Foster homes needed
We are a foster-based rescue and are always in need of more foster homes. If you are interested in fostering or would like to learn more about fostering please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out an application online at our website: http://www.beaglesandmore.info/. We will provide all veterinary care. We just ask that you provide the love, shelter, compassion and food!
Adopting a friend
Before adopting a beagle please research this wonderful breed. Beagles, like all other breeds, have their own unique qualities and needs. We're all fans of those tri-colored cuties here and work to rescue beagles, beagle-mixes and other dogs in-need with nowhere else to turn.
Please understand that our first priority is finding the best home for our foster dogs. Our decisions are based on what we feel will be the very best home for each beagle and your family. With many to choose from and partnering with numerous animal welfare groups in our community, we are dedicated to finding great homes for great pets!
Beagles are scent hounds, which means they are nose to the ground and off and running, so a fence is very important. If a beagle does not get the exercise and stimulation her or she both needs and deserves, then mischief tends to raise it's ornery head. We are not saying that we won't adopt to someone who does not have a fence, yet the circumstances have to be ideal for our little one's needs.
Adoption Process and Fees
If you see a Beagles 'n More pooch who looks like he/she would be a good fit in your family, please email us for an application or fill one out online at http://www.beaglesandmore.info/. We will be happy to begin the adoption process by checking veterinary references and performing a home visit to see if this is a great fit for both you and the dog!
Our adoption fees range from $150-$275, depending on the amount of veterinary costs incurred while in foster care. Unfortunately, many of the dogs we welcome into our program have lived a neglectful life, so we take them to fantastic vets to get them happy, healthy and ready for adoption into a loving family!
Adoption fees only partially cover the expense of caring for all of the dogs that are taken in, so donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Some dogs require extensive time in foster care or lengthy medical treatment, running into the hundreds of dollars. Every cent of your donation goes directly to hands-on care of these dogs. Please e-mail us for more information on how you can help us to help them!
Beagles and More is a very small group of volunteers with very little funding. Expenses like surgery and trips to the Emergency room end up being paid out of the volunteers' own funds. Without extra funding for these type of emergencies we become limited on the number of dogs we can save. Please consider donating to help cover those bills! You'll be helping the dogs we have and many other's that need our help. Thanks!!!!!
If you would prefer to donate by check please email us and we will send you the mailing address. (Please note that donations are NOT tax deductible.)

JUST A DOG................
From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog,"
or, "that's a lot of money for just a dog."
They don't understand the distance traveled,
the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog.
" Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."
Many hours have passed and my only company was " just a dog,"
but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog,"
and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a dog,"
then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."
"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.
Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a man."
So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog." just smile, because they "just don't understand."
