At this time, we do not have a 501(3)c status and all money to cover rescue, vet, and care expenses is coming out of our own pockets. Any help would be appreciated! Any donations, financially or supplies(collars, leashes, crates, food, flea/heartworm medication), would also be greatly appreciated!
We are a privately run rescue group dedicated to saving Australian Cattle Dogs and mixes of Australian Cattle Dogs from euthanasia in animal control facilities in Indiana and bordering states. Also in certain instances we will take owner surrenders. Once in our care, we fully vet and temperament test all animals before adopting them out. Once they are ready to be adopted, we look for forever homes for our beautiful ACDs, trying our best to match individual adopters with the right ACD for them.
If you are interested in adopting one of our ACDs, please contact us for more information on the specific dog, and we will send you our adoption application. An adoption application must be filled out first, so it is best to email us first before calling please. All adoptions are $200. We make no money at this. In fact we use our own money most of the time for these special dogs. If you would like to donate financially you can call our veterinarian, Jackson County Animal Clinic at 812-522-1152. ACD's are smart, quick learners, that excel in obedience, agility and herding trials. They bond well with the family but usually will pick out their special "human". If you are considering adopting an Australian Cattle Dog, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE BREED FIRST! There are several websites that can give you lots of great information on what to expect from owning an Australian Cattle Dog. Here are a few we recommend: http://www.australiancattledog.com/ www.aucado.us http://www.cattledog.com/
Come visit these beautiful dogs on our farm. Just call us and we will set up an appointment.
