Who We Are

Joliet Township's Animal Control Center bears the responsibility for sheltering stray or unwanted dogs and cats that are available for adoption at the Center. The Center has a population of puppies, kittens, and adult animals available for adoption. In an attempt to control the animal population, any adopted animal from the Center must be spayed or neutered as part of the adoption agreement.

Adopting a friend

All adoptions include spay/neuter and rabies vaccination. 1st distemper vaccinations are done on kittens and puppies under 4 months of age. Adoption fee: Kittens - $100 Cats (6 months - 6 years) - $50 Senior Cats - $30 Puppies - $125 Dogs (over 6 months) - $75

The Center is located at 2807 W. McDonough Street in Joliet. We are located on the north west corner of McDonough St. & Infantry Dr. (next door to the park district soccer fields). Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 am - 4pm and Wednesday 8:30am - 6:30pm. Closed on Saturday & Sunday and all Holidays.
