Our Mission
You can sponsor a pet adoption! "Paw It Forward" lets donors pay the adoption fee for a particular animal. When the animal is adopted, the adopter may choose to "paw it forward" and donate the adoption fee to another animal waiting for a home.

Happy Tails Humane Society is a limited-intake, no-kill facility that shelters and cares for stray and abandoned animals until they are adopted into loving, permanent homes. We promote pet adoption and humane education. Happy Tails is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
Adoption Policy
Our adoption fees are $200 for an adult dog, Dogs that have been in shelter longer then 90 days are half off, $250 for a puppy (Includes 3 free months of routine medical at Happy Tails Wellness Clinic, $65 for an adult cat, Senior Cats $25, and $80 for a kitten, which includes vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter. You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt.

We are located at 1408 McNeil Road in Rock Falls, Illinois, between Dixon Avenue and Route 30. Currently we are open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to Noon daily. Our evenings hours are Wednesday and Thursday 5 pm to 7pm.
