Conrad Strays Cat Rescue and Adoption Inc.

WHO WE ARE We are a cage-less, no-kill cat rescue group made up of volunteers and a fostering network, without a paid staff. We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization as of 3-24-05! Our Definition of "No-Kill Rescue" 1) No animal will ever be euthanized, except for humane reasons such as to end pain and suffering. 2) No animal will ever be transferred to another facility that does euthanize animals for reasons other than those reasons mentioned above. The cats we take into our rescue that are not adoptable because of age, medical reasons or behavior, will live out the remainder of their lives in a happy, cozy, home environment. Any cat that has a medical condition such as kidney failure, is treated with supportive care and provided a good quality of life. WHAT WE DO -We rescue stray and previously owned cats. -We foster them in a loving family setting and put them up for adoption. -We provide low cost spaying and neutering for owned, stray and feral cats. -We educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering as the only humane solution to ending the overpopulation problem. Killing isn't the answer, spaying and neutering is! There simply are not enough homes for all of the kittens being born. OUR VISION Our vision is simply to end the overpopulation of cats in Southern Idaho. To stop healthy, adoptable cats from being killed by the thousands each year. And to work with other rescue groups and shelters to achieve this goal. We would like to see this happen throughout the United States! "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ---Margaret Mead, 1901-78    The American Humane Association states that:  "2 uncontrolled breeding cats, plus all of their kittens, if none are ever spayed or neutered, add up to  2 MILLION offspring by the 8th year"!

HAPPY 600! We've just adopted our 600th cat! We have just helped our 1331 th Cat! Teresa is here to show you that one person can make a huge difference. I am now just getting wonderful, wonderful volunteers. So look out community, here we come! We still need lots of help and lots of funds. We won't stop until there are no more healthy, adoptable cats killed to control over population! Thank you God for helping us take care of these wonderful kitties! NEXT YARD SALE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21, 2005!   Located at the Orchard Animal Clinic, 110 N. Orchard St. in Boise, between Franklin and Emerald. Times are 8-5 Items to sell needed and volunteers needed. Also many folding tables needed. WHY HELP FUND CONRAD STRAYS?  We believe spaying and neutering is the answer to ending the overpopulation of cats. We DON'T believe KILLING is the answer. No-kill rescue groups, no-kill shelters and our spay and neuter assistance programs can end the killing of 10,000 plus dogs and cats each year in the Treasure Valley. So please choose to support the no- kill groups where you know your money will go to help prevent more animals from being born, just to be euthanized when they are abandoned, strayed or wild. We can't help if we don't have the funds to pay for Veterinary services.
