Adopting A Friend

If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please complete the online adoption application. Be sure to include the name of the pet(s) you are interested in and the email address given in the listing.  Our online Adoption Application can be found here:   Adoption Application


Come by PetSmart on Abercorn Street in Savannah any Saturday between 11:00AM and 2:30PM or the Habersham Street TailsSpin store in Savannah on the first Saturday of the month between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Check our web site (www.savealifepets.org) for other mobile adoption locations and dates. 


Dog adoption fees are $150 and up.  Cat adoption fees are $55 and up.  Please inquire for each animal. WE TAKE CASH ONLY.

Adoptions include:

  •  House training and socialization in homes
  •  Temperament testing
  •  Rabies vaccinations  (all pets 4 months or older)
  • Heartworm testing for dogs (6 months or older)
  • Feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus testing for cats
  • Discount voucher for a free spay or neuter for unaltered pets (extra charges not included)
  • For some pets, additional vaccines and micro-chipping are provided

Who We Are

Save-A-Life, Inc., is an all-volunteer IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Save-A-Life has been in continuous operation since 1967.  We receive no public monies.

REMEMBER: Responsible pet owners do not add to the pet overpopulation problem. They spay or neuter their pets.
