Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation is an non-profit rescue that focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of shelter dogs. We are a very small rescue and are 501 (c) licensed. We rescue animals in need, sometimes they have suffered a very neglectful life and have never known love. We make it our responsibility to place them in homes where they will be given the life they deserve including: love, attention, understanding, training, patience, medical care, proper nourishment & housing and companionship. Therefore, we screen each applicant very thoroughly. Our adoption fees vary depending on the amount of time, training, medical attention, nutritional and maintenance needs of all of our animals. If these things are acceptable to you then please visit our adoptables. Unfortunately due to the high over-population of dogs in our area we only take owner surrenders in special case situations. All dogs undergo a brief temperament test, including dog-dog testing, socialization and general handling. We will not adopt out any dogs that show any human aggression and/or dog aggression. All dogs will be current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We adopt out all breeds of dogs and do have certain restrictions and guidelines for those interested in adopting any of the following: American Bulldogs, Am Staffs, American Pit bull terriers, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and any of these predominant breed mixes. GCRR does allow out of state adoptions, however it is the adopters responsibility to arrange pick up/transport of the pet. If you have questions for us please feel free to contact us at anytime @ firstname.lastname@example.org
All potential adopters will be required to complete an adoption application, prior to adoption. Once approved, adopters will be required to sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Certain breeds including American Bulldogs, Am. Staffs, Am. Pit bull terriers, Rottweilers, Dobermans and predominant breed mixes may require a home visit and meet and greet with any of the adopters other pets and family members. Adoption fees vary.
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9-12 and 2-5pm, Saturdays and Sunday by appointment only. We are closed on Wednesdays. You can also visit some of our adoptables at Petsmart in Warner Robins every Saturday from 11-5 and Sunday from 1-5. Please keep in mind that some of our dogs are in foster homes and may not be located at our facility. We are located at 235 MacThompson Rd Cochran, GA 31014. If inquiring about adopting please email.

GCRR is a not for profit organization that works off of the generous donations of others. Unfortunately without these desperately needed donations we are unable to assist animals in need of our help. We work very hard to help as many needy animals regardless of the condition they are in. GCRR feels every dog deserves the chance at knowing a real loving family and we will work effortlessly to help them achieve that. Sometimes we are placed in horrible situations where animals have suffered unimaginable horror at the arms of humans and though we fight not all can be saved. We never give up on their fight even after they have left us to visit the Rainbow Bridge. If you would like to donate to our cause and help us help them, please contact us today. We accept and are in need of all donations, not just monetary, but food, towels, bed, leashes, collars and toys too. Yes our pets enjoy playing with toys too! Check out some of the babies below that your donations have and will continue to help.
We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like to donate a bed to us, click here.
