Who We Are

Hope Animal Medical Center is a veterinary clinic, WE ARE NOT AN ANIMAL SHELTER AND DO NOT TAKE IN ANIMALS FROM THE PUBLIC. On rare occasion we will have animals for adoption. Most of our adoptables are taken in because they have extensive medical needs and no one to provide them with the care that they require.

Adopting a friend

All of our animals are given an exam by a doctor, vaccinated accordingly, dewormed, and spayed/neutered when old enough. Dogs (if old enough) are heartworm tested and cats are FeLV/FIV tested. If animals are adopted and still require additional vaccines or deworming, then the new owner is responsible for the cost of these. If the animal hasnít been spayed/neutered at the time of adoption then the owner needs to bring the animal back to us to be spayed/neutered before 6 months of age.
Our animals are adopted into the most appropriate home for each individual animal. We DO NOT adopt animals on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in adopting an animal from us the first step is to fill out an adoption application and submit it to our Adoption Coordinator. Please make sure to completely fill out the application. Incomplete applications will only delay the process. The Adoption Coordinator will contact you if she has any questions about your application or if your application has been approved. At this time you can setup an appointment to visit with the animal prior to the actual adoption, if you havenít done so already. The adoption process generally takes anywhere from a couple of days to a week. The adoption fees can vary and each animalís adoption fee is listed in their bio.
If you would like more information on our adoption process or on any of our adoptables please contact the Adoption Coordinator, LaurŤ, via e-mail at: info@hopeamc.com or call: 706-546-7879. E-mails are always preferred. Thank you for considering adoption and we wish you much luck in your quest to find a new furry friend!
