Adopting a friend

Adoption of an animal includes a free health exam with one of our participating veterinarians. All vaccinations and treatments are the responsibility of the adopter. The adopter must be willing to sign a sterilization agreement. The adopter must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license. All transactions require exact cash. Adoption fees are: $25.00 for dogs and puppies $10.00 for cats and kittens The Humane Society of Newton County offers a sterilization rebate to animals adopted from Newton County Animal Control. Female dog = $25.00 Male dog = $20.00 Female cat = $20.00 Male cat = $15.00

Come Visit Us!

From Atlanta take I20 East. Go to exit #88 (Almon Rd.) and turn right off of the ramp. At the first traffic signal (Access Rd.) go straight (this happens as soon as you turn off of the ramp). At the second traffic signal (Brown Bridge Rd.) go straight. Go to the four way stop (Hwy 81)(Burger King & Chevron at this intersection) go straight. Take the next road to the right which is Lower River Rd. We are on the right hand side less than a quarter of a mile (across from the Newton County Landfill).
