My Old Friends
Who We Are
My Old Friends is an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill rescue group serving metro Atlanta. We specialize in working with senior, disabled, chronically ill, and hospice appropriate canines. Many of our dogs are not available for adoption due to medical conditions and are in need of sponsors.
All of our adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated with flea control before adoption. All dogs have been tested negative for heartworm and are currently on heartworm preventative unless otherwise noted.
A My Old Friends representative is available and will be glad to talk with you in detail about their individual personality and preferences or needs. We are committed to matching pets with adoptive families that are perfect for each other.
The adoption process includes completing an application (click links to the right), a vet check, home visit, signing an adoption contract, and post adoption phone calls to ensure the adoption is going well and to address any questions or concerns. When you adopt a pet from us, we will take that pet back at any time, for the duration of the pet's life, should you become unable to care for it. If a pet is returned within 30 days, the entire adoption fee will be refunded.
Note: Except in special circumstances, we don't do long-distance adoptions because of logistical difficulties.
Our pets come out to play at various locations on weekends. Please call ahead for locations and to make arrangements to meet our special pups.
