Who We Are

Most of the animals are from animal controls in surrounding counties. DOGS & CATS ONLY HAVE 8 DAYS FROM THE TIME THEY ENTER THE SHELTER TO FIND A HOME OR A RESCUE OR THEY WILL BE PUT DOWN. TIME IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IF YOU'RE WILLING TO SAVE ANY OF THEM. If you see an animal that interests you, please call right away and they can hold the animal until you can adopt or make arrangements to adopt. DO NOT HESITATE. Rescue organizations are welcome to pull animals with verification of 501(c)(3) status. E-mail the shelter at for more info. (PLEASE INCLUDE PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAILS FOR QUICK RESPONSE, may not have time to email back). Phone calls reach us quicker than the emails. Our hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9:00 am until 12:00 noon CST. NO SUNDAY OR EVENING CALLS PLEASE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NEEDED: URGENT! Volunteer to come to shelter between hours of 9 am CST and 12 pm CST to take pictures and descriptions of pets and post of website. Helpful in saving their lives and getting into rescues. Need only one or two days a week. If you can help, please call shelter for more information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRESENTS FOR PETS: If you are unable to give the gift of adoption to one of our homeless pets, please consider sponsoring all or part of their adoption fee. This is done by contacting the veterinary clinic used by our shelter and simply telling them which pet's fee you would like to pay part(or all) of. This sponsorship helps the animals leave the shelter much more quickly. Please note that our shelter does not take cash donations, but we welcome your sponsorship of the veterinary fees! Please contact the shelter for information on how to arrange sponsorship and contact veterinary clinic.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fee is $155.00 and that includes spaying/neutering, all shots including rabies, vet & heartworm check for dogs.
