TAILS (The Alliance In Limiting Strays)
****Stop by and visit our furry felines at Petco at 650 Main Ave, Norwalk, CT (next to Walmart and Staples)! We have some great kitties you can meet with help from the staff there and get to spend a little quality time with anytime during Petco business hours (open Mon-Sat 9-9, Sun 9-6pm). We rotate our kitties in/out of Petco as they either get adopted or need a break so there are new cats there frequently. Go to our website at www.tailsct.org to apply online. All cats and kittens are given age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neutered and are microchipped; the fee is $125 for a cat (9mths and older) and $150 for a kitten (less if you adopt more than one) and $350 for a dog. So swing by Petco and visit our kitties - save a life and bring joy to yours! Please note: we cannot adopt to out of state individuals.***
Who We Are
T.A.I.L.S. is a non profit, 501(c)3 organization based in Fairfield County which funds & promotes spaying and neutering to end the pet overpopulation problem. Not surprisingly, in the course of our work we come across many animals in need and end up taking in and trying to place them whenever possible. We also host adoption events to help out shelters and to highlight the need for spaying and neutering to end the pet overpopulation problem. To date, we have placed over 350 animals since 1/1/10.
TAILS is made up solely of volunteers and has no paid staff. If you are interested in helping us in our organizational efforts please contact us through our website (www.tailsct.org) or at email@example.com.
Adopting a friend
Although TAILS does not have a shelter of our own, we are able to place animals in loving forever homes through a network of concerned individuals and businesses who foster/house the animals you see in our listings. Adopters please note, we are only considering applicants that live in the state of Connecticut (50 mile radius of Westport). Please understand we are a volunteer based organization and do our utmost to contact all inquiries and applicants in a timely manner.
Come Help Us!
We would love to have your help as a volunteer! Either organizing an event, helping us with our TNR program (catching cats humanely, getting them spay/neutered, returning them to their sites), at one of our store visits with our adoptables or at one of our BIG adoption events! So much to do - and we are all volunteers working together towards a common goal! :) Drop us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info We'd love to have your help!
