Who We Are

The Cairn Terrier Club of Denver rescue is an affiliate of the Cairn Terrier Club of America. We place rescued Cairn Terriers of all ages primarily in the Rocky Mountain Front Range region of Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. We also assist in rescue in Kansas, Nebraska, and other states as needed. Due to the logistics and costs associated with transporting dogs, we do not adopt dogs outside the region listed.

Adopting a Cairn Terrier

CTCD has several requirements for adopting a Cairn Terrier. We require a securely fenced yard, accessible from the house. We we ask that a donation be made to Cairn rescue for each dog. The donation is usually $275, but this may vary depending on circumstances. CTCD is now microchipping all of our rescues. While most Cairns are good with children, CTCD will not place a Cairn Terrier in a home with young children. This policy is to protect your child- we cannot guarantee that a rescue dog will not bite a child given the wrong circumstances.

Come Visit Us!

CTCD only fosters dogs in homes, we don't have a shelter facility. Please call the number on the rescue dog's page to find out more or to schedule a visit.
