We are funded through the local government, including revenue from licensing fees and fines, as well as, donations from the public and grants The Rangely Animal Shelter is one of two animal shelters that services 3,221 sq. miles in Rio Blanco County and parts of Moffat County. We are dedicated to finding responsible, loving homes for abandoned animals that may otherwise have to be euthanized. We are a no kill shelter because of all the hard work our shelter employess do in finding homes for our animals. We require a donation of $86.00 or more to adopt our dogs and $25.00 for our cats. All animals are either spayed or neutered, have all current vaccinations and are micro-chipped (dogs only) before adoption release. Come Visit Us! Traveling west on Hwy. 64, turn on the first right after the Early Education building (Rider Road). Drive past the Field of Dreams baseball field. The asphalt turns to dirt and if you drive to the end of the road you will run into the animal shelter on the right. The animal shelter has a yard, flag pole and the building is beige.
