How you can help: Donations of MONEY is always a winner (vet/medical needs are our biggest expenditure). *dry cat food, *scoopable litter, *medical supplies, *gift cards for services and goods. Foster homes is our #2 priority right now. Without volunteer foster homes, we cannot save kitties! We allow foster homes to have up to 8 cats in their care, including their own at one time. We provide litter, wet food, dry food, we pay all vet expenses. We need YOU to open your hearts and homes to kitties needing a temporary home. *For the year 2013 we are currently NOT accepting any intakes of kitties. We have the need to focus on fundraising and increasing donations and increasing foster volunteer commitment. We welcome calls/emails with questions about kitty care or advice :)

Who We Are

We are a 501 (c) (3) Federal and State of CO Non Profit! Providing safe, loving homes for abandoned felines, which is the purpose of Duncan’s Place. We are a foster home based rescue, we do not have a facility and do not cage our kitties. To integrate knowledge of feline behavior from both a holistic and allopathic perspectives to keep families together before abandonment happens of the feline family member. Through education and compassion to work towards ending homelessness of felines in our community. Mission statement: To help both felines and humans find harmonious solutions to live and learn together. Committed to promoting a lifelong bond between people and their cats by providing care for animals in need.

Adopting a friend

Fairly simple, there is a interview to see if you and your new furry family member are a good match, a pre-adoption application form. A 24 hour wait period for prospective pet parents to really consider the responsibility involved with pet parenthood. This also gives you time to shop and set up your home for your new family member. Finally, we have the adoption contract and adoption fee. This process is needed to ensure that everyone is happy and that a good match between people and their new feline family member.
