We are always in need of volunteers, foster homes, and loving, permanent homes for the precious creatures we rescue from often the most horrible situations. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, so 100% of every donation goes directly to helping the animals. Thank you so much for your compassion and kindness.

Who We Are

Founded in 1999 by Charleen Sweeney, Forgotten Animals of Los Angeles (FALA) is dedicated to the rescue of homeless cats and kittens, and the elimination of their suffering. The organization understands that animal over-population is the root of the "homeless" problem, and it is our goal to help make the public aware of it's responsibility toward animals. Rescued animals will receive medical care and housing until (through an extensive screening process) they are placed in permanent homes.

Adopting a friend

Forgotten Animals of Los Angeles takes great pride in the level of attention we give to our rescued angels. When animals can be adopted, they are healthy and well-cared for, having been lovingly sheltered in temporary foster homes until, through an extensive screening process, they are placed in good, permanent homes.

FALA will not adopt to anyone who lets their animals roam outside. And FALA stays in contact with the adopted parents for the remainder of the animal's life. FALA also offers in-home behavioral sessions with every adoption at no charge.

If you are interested in adopting one (or a pair?) of our cats or kittens, please complete the Adoption Application form, available on our website
