Healthcare for Homeless Animals

P.O. Box 7401
Thousand Oaks, CA 91359

Our Mission

Healthcare for Homeless Animals is organized for charitable purposes, specifically to fund medical care for homeless pets primarily residing at the Agoura Animal Shelter, and in limited incidents on a case by case basis approved in advance by the Board of Directors (Board), for pets adopted from the Agoura Animal Shelter that develop health problems shortly after adoption and for pets that are adopted with known medical issues that cannot not be addressed prior to adoption. In certain circumstances approved by the Board of Directors in advance homeless animals outside the Agoura Animal Shelter from other County of Los Angeles Animal Care Centers may also receive funding for medical services once transferred to Agoura..

Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) formerly Malibu Pet Companions (MPC) was founded in 1996 by an Agoura Animal Shelter volunteer who wanted to find a way to fund medical care for homeless shelter animals. HHA was formed as a 501c3

Adoption Policy

Animals we have funded that are available for adoption are housed at the Agoura Animal Care Center (or in certain circumstances are in foster care.)
