ANNIE - Our Featured Pet

ANNIE is a beautiful, sweet, 70 pound, adult (DOB 7/17/01?), Eskimo Dog mix. She is the type of dog who will be a puppy all of her life. She likes to play tag, carry a toy around with her and being chased. She won't do well with small dogs and little children because she can play rough. ANNIE has started learning some basic commands and really would like a home where she can be a part of a great family who likes to have fun. Please come see this wonderful young lady today. ANNIE is waiting for you.

Our Featured Pet...

ANNIE is a gorgeous red husky cross. She likes to play hard and is the top dog in her circles. She is exceptionally loving to people, but her owner will have to pick her playmates carefully. We feel she will do best in a home without other pets or very small children.

Who We Are

Bear Mountain Dog Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) public charity nestled in the San Bernardino Mountain Community of Big Bear. We rescue, rehabilitate and place dogs rescued from the local county shelter on their last day there. We operate a no kill sactuary in the high desert where we can offer our dogs a waystation until appropriate loving homes are found for our dogs.

Adopting a friend

If you see a photograph of a dog you are interested in, please email us. This function is staffed by volunteers who will get back to you with an application and will answer any questions you might have. If you decide you are interested in the dog you will need to meet the dog, if you would like to add him to your family, one of our representatives will come to your house to visit with you and help you further prepare for your new family member. We like to give you a little time to consider adding a dog to your household, so that you can be sure it is the right decision for your family. This process typically takes a week or two, depending on where you're located. If you are outside of our area we can handle the application and home visit prior to you meeting the dog, so that, if you want to move forward with the adoption once you meet the dog, we can fast track the adoption and allow you bring your new pet home right away.

We will do everything in our power to fully inform you about the habits of the dog you are interested in to make sure that the match is a good fit. Upon pick up of your new family member, you will be asked to sign a contract and make a minimum tax deductible donation of $125 to help defray our cost. If for any reason, you and your dog must part company, you must return the dog to us.
