CincoDeMeowColor1up

Our biggest fundraising event of the year is just around the corner. Cinco de Meow, bow wow!

This year, funds raised will help us buy a new van to transport our cats and dogs to medical services. (NOTE: We may have an exciting update about a large donation toward the van that we are anticipating. Don’t want to count our kittens before they’re born. Stay tuned!)

We are creating a new Half-and-Half raffle for those who can not attend our event and still want to contribute to the cause. For every $10 donated, we will enter 1  ticket on your behalf into the Cindo De Meow Half-and-Half Raffle. If you donate $10, your name will be written on 1 ticket entered into this raffle. If you donate $20, you will have 2 tickets entered on your behalf. And so on, and so on.

Half the “kitty” (total amount raised) will be a donation to C.A.T.S. and half will go to the lucky winner whose ticket is pulled. Be generous and your chances increase! The more people who donate, the bigger the “kitty”!! We will update the size of the “kitty” here, so keep checking in to see how big it has grown!

We will match your donation amount to this form and put one ticket for every $10 that you donate into the bucket for the drawing. Winner will be drawn and contacted on May 2. Good luck!

Adopting A Friend

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Cats < 6 - $90

Cats > 6 - $60

Dogs - $250

C.A.T.S. spays and neuters all animals in our system before we offer them for adoption. We have our animals tested for feline leukemia (FeLV) and vaccinated with a 4-in-1 serum (FVRCP-C). Sometimes, we do not have a cat or kitten long enough for a full course of vaccinations. In this case, the new owner can bring the cat to our adoption center where we complete the remaining vaccinations at no charge.

We also offer a health warranty for the first 10 days after adoption. If an animal becomes ill during this period, for any reason except accidents, we will provide necessary medical care through vets who work with us. With prior approval from us, new adopters can also take the animal to their own vet. In these cases, the reimbursement is limited to the amount that one of our vets would have charged.

C.A.T.S offers a lifetime return warranty on all animals adopted through us. Our adoption contract stipulates that the animal must be returned to us if the adoption does not work out. This is to prevent that the cat is abandoned or taken to an animal shelter where it may be euthanized.

Who We Are

Cats About Town Society (C.A.T.S.) incorporated on March 19, 1998, with a mission to rescue, protect and support cats in need in the Sacramento area and to help reduce the suffering that is caused by overpopulation.

C.A.T.S. is an all-volunteer group without any paid staff. Most of our cats and kittens are surrendered to us by people who cannot or do not want to care for them anymore. We also take in abandoned, orphaned or stray cats.

Come Visit Us

We are at Petsmart Natomas (I-80 & Truxel, next to Walmart) every Saturday and Sunday from 11-5. (Except holidays)
