PAL Humane Society has moved to Wrighwood, CA. When Robert Lowry, a resident of Wrightwood, passed away he left his estate to 3 charities and PAL was named as one of the recipients. We had no record of who this man was as he had never adopted an animal from PAL or, to our knowledge, visited our organization. We were thrilled that Mr. Lowry felt us worthy of sharing his legacy. Part of the donation PAL received is a house in Wrightwood. After spending much time deciding what to do with the house, PAL's Board of Directors decided that Mr. Lowry's legacy and the animals would best be served by making the house our new headquarters.

When PAL was first started by founder Kathi Schlintz, it was with the intent to save animal's lives by promoting spay & neuter and educating the public about responsible pet ownership. Through these programs we could protect animal life. With that in mind, PAL is going back to its roots and has made some big changes:
*We no longer take in animals for adoption as we do not have a shelter in which to house them. We can still offer assistance to people trying to place an animal in a new home by posting a private adoption ad or through referrals to rescue groups.
*We are continuing to help the senior citizens with pet food through our Pet Connection Program and with veterinary costs through the Herdina Grant.
*Our main focus is to promote spay/neuter by providing vouchers to High Desert residents to help with the cost of spay/neuter procedures.
*We will also continue to promote humane treatment of animals and responsible pet ownership through education.

We hope that you will continue to support us in our new endeavors to protect animal life and help reduce the pet overpopulation!

PAL Humane Society is a 501 (c)(3) animal welfare organization located in Wrightwood, CA. PAL's goal is to reduce euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals in the Victor Valley through education and assisting with spay/neuter costs to pet owners. PAL relies on donations from the public to keep our programs running. 100% of donations go to run these programs. We are also applying for various grants. Our short term goals are to have an educational program for children in the school systems and to work with the senior citizen community. We rely on donations and volunteers to meet our mission statement.

PAL Humane Society envisions a future where animals are no longer killed or left to uncertain fates simply because there are not enough homes for them all. We believe that an endless number of lives can and will be saved through the spaying and neutering of all companion animals and responsible pet ownership.

PAL Humane Society is dedicated to:
*Reducing the severe pet overpopulation in our local communities through education and the spaying and neutering of companion animals;
*The prevention of cruelty to animals through public outreach and education;
*Instilling respect for and appreciation of all living things.

All animals listed are available for adoption through private parties. PAL is not responsible for these animals or their adoption in any way. The private party's contact information is noted in each animal's listing.
