Who We Are

Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center (SPARC) provides sanctuary, shelter, medical care, and pet adoption services for the abandoned, lost, and surrendered citizen-animals of the Santa Paula community. SPARC is a resource in providing pet owner education, reuniting lost animals with their families and finding the homeless pets new homes.

SPARC is a non-profit 501(c)3 and is proud to be the only no-kill shelter in Ventura County. We shine a beacon for other communities because we are a proven model of success. We put our no-kill philosophy into practice daily as we meet the urgent needs of so many of the animals that come through our doors. Since its founding in June of 2012, SPARC continues to succeed because we are committed to going to any lengths to rehabilitate the animals making them ready to be welcomed into their new homes. We offer a lifesaving alternative to traditional shelters. Only animal citizens of Santa Paula are accepted into the shelter, but any qualified resident from any community can adopt a pet rescued by SPARC.
