Search our adoptable dogs. Each posting will list the location of the dog. When you find a dog that you are interested in, contact the person listed in the posting. The contact person will ask you about your particular situation and pet ownership in general. This screening process will take time. You will be asked to complete, send in your Adoption Application, and have a continuing interview with the foster parent.
If NCARF determines that you are a good match for the dog, a visit will be arranged for you to meet the dog. This will provide you with an opportunity to see how the dog interacts with you. If there is mutual agreement that the dog might be a good match for you, you will be offered a “sleepover”. An adoption fee will be collected and paperwork completed. A sleepover provides you with a two week period to have the dog in your home to really determine if this is a good fit for your family. If, for some reason, the dog is not a good match, the dog will be returned to NCARF. Should this happen, your adoption fee will be refunded within 30 days.
If the sleepover period proves the dog is a good match for your family, the dog will be officially adopted to you.
