Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue operates solely on donations and is a non-profit rescue group. We are always in need of donations to help with costly surgeries, and sick or injured dogs. Please visit our main website at www.smoochpoochrescue.com to donate by Paypal or for our mailing address. Your desperately needed donations will go to medical care, medicine, surgeries, food, supplies, vaccinations, spay/neuter and boarding fees. Please donate and help a dog in need! Our doggies thank you for your help!
You can donate to our rescue via our Paypal using our email address firstname.lastname@example.org or via the following link:
The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application on our main website prior to coming to meet the animal(s) you are interested in. We DO NOT operate on a first come basis but rather the best suited home for our animlas. The application can be found at www.smoochpoochrescue.com and will give us an idea if the animal will be a good match for you, your family and lifestyle. We also require an adoption contract, adoption fee and home visit.
Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue is a not-for-profit organization that consists solely of volunteers. We are an all breed dog rescue, we are not a shelter. Our rescue group is dedicated to the memory of Rich Mathias, the "Kid" who loved the bully breeds and had a passion to save them. Rich is in our hearts and our dogs' hearts and he is never forgotten. We hope that with our hard work and dedication to the animals, Rich will remain with us forever.....Thank you Rich, for all that you gave to help save the animals, now we will do what we can for the rest of our lives......
Sadly, hundreds of dogs are euthanized weekly at shelters in our area. Smooch Pooch rescues dogs from high kill shelters, many of them the day they are to be euthanized and gives them another chance at life. Please adopt your next dog instead of purchasing one. There are too many homeless dogs including pure breeds that need your love! If you are unable to adopt, please consider donating or fostering.
We do not have an actual facility. Our dogs are in foster homes until their forever homes are found. You can see our dogs at our adoption events or by appointment if you are not able to see us at our events. Please contact us by email or phone for our adoption event schedule or to set up an appointment to come visit our dogs.
We usually hold our adoption events 2-3 Saturdays a month from 1:30pm-4pm at Petco. Please keep in mind our schedule changes from time to time so please contact us directly to confirm, not Petco.
