Our Featured Pet..Teensie

My name is Teensie and I'm a 6 year old spayed female Rottweiler cutie! I'm a very people friendly loving girl! My only issue is I like to have my family all to myself as far as other dogs go. I like people visitors but no other dogs so I need to live in a place where I'm the only dog and I don't have any dog next door neighbors! That's my only quirk otherwise I'm a picture perfect girl. I love to go for long walks and be fussed over - oh, yeah, I also love to eat treats! I'm very healthy, up to date on my shots and microchipped. I come with free lifetime obedience training classes. If I sound like the dog of your dreams, call Renee at 530-681-1326 or leave a message at 530-661-0213 to set up an appointment to meet me

Who We Are

The origin of Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue can be traced back to Renee Lancaster's lifetime love of animals. In 1978, Renee began breeding Rottweilers and German Shepherds through her world renown Vom Riegelhaus Kennels and has shown dogs at all levels including Schutzhund and AKC. In 1983, she began working at UC Davis as an anesthesia technician in the Small Animal Clinic. From there, her career made a leap into law enforcement where she spent the next 18 years with the Yolo County Sheriff's Department and the Roseville Police Department. Seven of those years were spent in the K-9 unit. Renee became the West Coast Regional Director of the American Boarding Kennels Association in 2004 and filled that position for three years. Since 1995, she has owned and managed Yolo Canine Academy and 29 Palms Pet Resort, a full service boarding and training facility. Renee offers dog obedience classes, both group and private and works with police K-9 units throughout California to help train police dogs and their handlers. Over the past ten years Renee has rescued and placed hundreds of dogs. In January, 2008, Renee founded Rotts of Friends Animal Rescue, (a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization), to enhance her ability to rescue more animals.
