Many of the dogs have come off of the euthanasia list at different animal control centers in Arizona. We also have dogs that were abandoned or surrendered by their owners.
We evaluate the dogs when they come into the rescue. We treat any health issues they may have and vaccinate all of them. All dogs are spayed/neutered, have all of their vaccines and are microchipped. They have all been seen by a vet before they are adopted.
Our adoption fees help to keep the rescue going so that we can save more dogs. Unlike strangers on the internet, we care about the welfare of our dogs and the families who adopt them. Therefore, we will always be upfront about any issues they might have and take special care to match each dog with the most compatible family. It's a win-win situation for our dogs and our adopters.
WE NEED FOSTER HOMES! If you are interested in becomming a FOSTER volunteer for a rescued pet, please email us. Don't be afraid to open your home......we will match a rescue to your specific needs and availability.
We are a 501C3, non profit all volunteer organization located primarily in the east valley. We do not have a physical shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving private FOSTER HOMES so they can learn to be a part of the family. Our animals come from local shelters but also from owners who can no longer care for them, move or pass away. If you interested to open your heart and home to FOSTER please contact us. We are also a non kill shelter and always take our dogs back if at any time the adopter can no longer keep or care for a dog.
Our mission is to be sure that the dogs in our care are never homeless again. Therefore, we exert our best efforts to ensure a perfect match between the dog and the applicants. Home visits prior to adoption are required and will be arranged after a completed application has been approved by our adoption committee. In some cases, the dog will accompany our home inspection team to meet the applicant. We honor any clearly expressed preference the dog may have for one family over another, all other things being equal. If all goes well, an adoption may be awarded at the time of the introduction. We all work full time so please be patient and allow us at least 24-48 hours to reply to your email. We're usually quicker, but need your understanding if we can't be. We try to conduct only instate adoptions and much prefer Maricopa County; however, we have, when it was the most perfect match, adopted some of our most beloved rescued doggies to folks residing in more distant AZ counties. We will never ship a dog anywhere, so please don't even ask us. WE ALSO DO HOME VISITS BEFORE ADOPTION. We regret that we cannot "hold" dogs for you; once your application is submitted, please be prepared to meet and adopt the dog quickly; other homeless dogs, who might otherwise be euthanized, are waiting for rescue space. We thank you immensely for your understanding.
