Did you know that every minute of every day in the U.S. TEN pets are killed because there are not enough homes for them all? Paals would like to thank Mile Hi Animal Hospital and Prescott Valley Pet Clinic for helping us so much. We could not do what we do (and we have been doing it for 21 years) without them. Please let them know how much you appreciate their help and their concern for the animals in our community. We thank God for Dr. Smith and Dr. Frank and their staff.

Please check out all the homeless animals in your area. Here in the Prescott area we have many groups trying to make a better life for the animals. Contact them or us before you buy a pet from a breeder or a pet store..Remember never, never buy a dog , puppy, kitten or cat from a pet store.

When you adopt a pet from PAALS you can be sure that it is spayed or neutered and vaccinated. We can arrange a free first time visit with a local vet hospital

News: Help us make a difference.

Find out how you can sponsor a homeless animal at our shelter. Paals is a volunteer organization and always has been since 1987 and all funding is through adoption fees and your donations. Paals is a non-profit no-kill 501 (C) (3) tax exempt. We do not kill adoptable animals. . Thank you for your precious time and money.

We need volunteers to help us..

Who We Are

PAALs has been around since 1987. We started out as a Purebred rescue, eventually rescuing all breeds. We have adopted over 9,000 animals since our beginning. We believe that education and spay/neuter are two of the best reasons we have to help our community.

We are a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization. We have no facility to house cats yet. Dog, puppies and cats and kittens are fostered in homes. We choose not to euthanize our heathy animals. Let us help you find your new "forever" friend. We are a rescue organization. We prefer not to take in owner surrendered animals unless the animal's life is in danger.

Where we are located:

Adopting a friend is easy:

You must provide a safe environment for your new friend. A fenced yard is a must for all dogs.We prefer that dogs are inside with the family so they can bond and be a part of the family.

Cats must not be declawed. Animals have been spayed or neutered (no exceptions). We provide current shots and a little history about them, as much as we know anyway.

Adoptions fees vary, most are $150 for dogs and puppies. Our kittens and cats are always tested for leukemia and Fiv first then vaccinated and altered. Little dogs or purebreds are hard to come by, but occasionally available. We are a small group of animal lovers dedicated to our animals. If you cannot find your new friend with us, visit the other rescues in our area. We work proudly with all the other groups.
